If your property has wooden floors that are in poor condition, consider painting them white, suggests Craig Williams from Elders Real Estate Mosman.

“It’s hard to keep white floors clean, but it looks fantastic and adds a holiday feel,” he says. “It works really well in older houses.”

Overcoming a negative location

Have the open for inspection at a time when it isn’t noisy.
Buyers don’t like the unknown – if there is a development block nearby find as much as you can before putting the property on the market.
Create a barrier between your property and the negative aspect of the location where possible.
